To give students in the Washington/Baltimore area a head start in the marketing process, we produce two showcase CD’s that feature students who have completed our program. These CD’s are mailed to all the leading production companies in the Washington/Baltimore media market, one in the fall, and the other in the spring.
SMOKIN' PIPES This CD contains the long versions of commercial and narration demos of 30 of our outstanding students in a given year. (The 2008 version represents our ninth year). This is a one-time participation, and is limited to students who have completed demos in the applicable year.
AUDIOS AMIGOS This CD contains the short versions of commercial and narration demos (60 seconds each), and contains demo by over 70 participants. Unlike Smokin’ Pipes, this CD is available each year for repeat participation, and is now the definitive non-union showcase demo in the Washington/Baltimore area.
